SUMMER ON THE SOUND 2011

Please spread the word! The countdown to Life Haven’s Summer on the Sound has begun!

Please make sure you’ve marked your calendar to join us on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Owenego Inn, Branford for an evening of cool breezes on the deck. 

A full barbeque featuring Owenego’s famous clam chowder, summer music and a silent auction that will have everyone’s pens working overtime!

Donate items to Helping Hands to help Life Haven!

LIFE HAVEN has partnered with Helping Hands Community Thrift Store & Furniture Bank, LLC in a unique fundraiser and we need your help in making it a success!

Helping Hands accepts donations of furniture, household items, clothing, etc. All items donated by LIFE HAVEN supporters will be designated to our organization, and we will receive 18% of the sale price of these items when sold in their Thrift Store and Furniture Bank.  Helping Hands is filling their warehouse now, with a grand opening scheduled for January.  This is an ongoing fundraiser for LIFE HAVEN and your help is very much appreciated.

So . . . please clean out your attics, closets, and basements and bring your items to Helping Hands, 1593 State Street, New Haven, on Tuesdays or Saturdays from 9:30 to 4:30 p.m., or to the Tzedakah House, LLC, 8 Lunar Drive, Woodbridge, from 8:30 - 5 Monday through Friday.  Helping Hands can also pick up your furniture for $35.

We want to fill their warehouse with items designated to LIFE HAVEN.  Please let help spread the word about Helping Hands.  Let’s turn your donated items into cash for LIFE HAVEN.
